Through my large scale drawings, my hope is to minimize the distance between humans and animals. I want the viewers to engage with my work emotionally and physically, and be overwhelmed with a sense of vulnerability and wonder by the sheer size.

murals

Imagine walking in the wilderness and coming across these giant animals. The animals are drawn on a 2-dimensional surface such as paper or wall, and plays a ‘trick’ on the eye to create an illusion as if they are coming out of the surface. Take a closer look, and they might just jump right out!

drawings

Drawing is one of the most fundamental process in many art forms. It’s where creative ideas flourish and come to life. These animals come alive through expressive mark makings, and their story is told through their eyes.

Tang draws much of her inspiration from home in Vancouver, British Columbia. The fresh air and the smell of the ocean breeze are reminders of how grateful she feels to live in such a beautiful province. Soak up nature’s beauty in the collection of oil and acrylic paintings.

digital art

Discover Tang’s exploration in the world of digital art. She focuses on bringing out details in texture of the skin or fur on the animals. They are more realistic than ever and are full of character and personality.
